Kyle's Handmade Hardwood Pens

MY PENS ARE TURNED from local hardwoods found in firewood piles, log yards, or woodshop scrap bins. I generally use highly figured woods such as burls, spalted wood (character introduced into the wood by partial decomposition), and naturally curly grain.

Woods that I have available include:
--> Cherry burl
--> Birdseye maple
--> Curly maple
--> Spalted maple
--> Spalted yellow birch
--> Antique oak

Remembery pens
When my son was 3, he came up with the moniker "remembery trees" for trees with special memories. I use wood with special memories in some of my woodworking projects, such as bowls and pens made from oak studs saved from remodeling my parents' old farmhouse. I can make remembery pens from wood that carries special memories for you, including fallen trees, landscape trimmings, hoarded boards, old flooring, you name it and provide the wood. Email me with your ideas.

I use pen kits with metal finishes appropriate to the character of the wood used. Most pens use gold, silver, or satin finish metals. Some pens cry out for black enamel hardware (such as wood with blackline spalting), but I wonÕt ship you these unless specifically requested.

Prices:
All pens are $24.00.
This price includes shipping within the U.S. and Vermont sales tax, if applicable. Quantity (10 or more) discounts are available. Pens are shipped in a clear plastic sleeve for protection. If interested, send a note stating the number of pens of each wood type you would like, and a check for the correct amount to:
